Your
validation code was sent within seconds of you registering. Most people
will receive it within minutes of being sent, although in some very rare
circumstances it can take some days to be delivered. Please read the following,
and see below for how to get your validation code mailed to you again.
If
you haven't received a validation code via email, it will be for one of
the following reasons:
You
entered your email address incorrectly
This is BY FAR the most common reason people don't get their validation
code.
The very reason we send you a validation code is to make sure the email
address you entered is valid and it belongs to you. We find that
up to 50 people a day enter an invalid email address!
If you entered an invalid email address, you'll need to re-register with
the correct email address and a new nickname.
Your
mailbox is configured to not accept mail from us
Make sure your email account is configured properly. We often get mail
returned as undeliverable with the error: "user IS NOT ACCEPTING
MAIL FROM THIS SENDER"
This is almost always from AOL email addresses. If your mailbox
is configured to not accept mail from us, you'll need to configure
it correctly (see your service provider for help on how to do this) and
then get your validation code remailed.
See below for details on how to do this.

Your
mailbox is full
Make sure your mailbox is not full. Most providers of email accounts have
a limit
on the amount of mail that can be stored on their system. We often get
email returned as undeliverable because the user's mailbox is full.
If your mailbox is full, you'll need to remove some of the old mail, and
then get your validation code remailed. See below for details on how to
do this.
Your
email account has been suspended by your service provider
Are you sure you paid your service provider's last bill ? We get quite
a few mails returned as undeliverable because the user's account has been
disabled.
If your email account has been suspended or disabled, you'll need to re-register
with a current valid email address and a new nickname.
Your
service provider's mail system is down
Occasionally mail will take more than a few seconds to deliver because
your service provider's mail system is not working. This is not common,
and most mail systems are rarely down for more than an hour. Our mailer
will try repeatedly for 2 days to deliver mail to a valid email address,
but experience show most deliverable mail gets through within 30 minutes
of it being sent from our site.
If your service provider's mail system is down for an extended period,
we'd suggest you get
another email account and then re-register with that email address and
a new nickname.
The
mail "just got lost" somehow
"Glitches" do occur, (although they are very rare), and an email
just gets "lost" somewhere
between the sender and recipient.
If you think that this is the case, try getting your validation code re-mailed.
See below for how to do this.
